Supplier Quality Engineer

Your new companyAn exciting, leading manufacturing company in Belfast who pride themselves in supplying top quality products to the automotive, electronic, water and gas industries. Due to exciting new products they have a requirement to grow their established quality team.Your new roleThe Supplier Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for handling supplier non-conformances, measuring and analyzing quality data, driving quality and improvements using problem solving process (PSP) and other tools. You will support the Quality Manager ensuring that the quality of purchased items meets documented standards. Improve supplier quality performance and work with purchasing to approve new suppliers.Mon - Thurs 8am - 4,30pm and Fri until 1.30pm.What you'll need to succeedIdeally you will have 2+ years of Supplier Quality experience within a manufacturing industry is required. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related process controls. Experience supplier and internal auditor. Experience using tools such as Control Plans, FMEA's, PPAP and communicating advanced quality concepts both internally and externally. Highly analytical, with a clear, logical understanding of problem-solving including Root Cause, Corrective Action, Counter Measures,?Problem?Solving?Plans (PSP) and Action Plan development and execution. Ability to Interpret Electrical and mechanical drawings. Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
