Legal Secretary

A leading law firm providing a wide range of legal services are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team based in Belfast.

This is a Full-Time, temporary position with the potential to be made permanent.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8am-4pm or 9am – 5pm

Hourly rate: £14.84

Start date: Immediate

Job Role:

You will be working on a one-to-one basis with a senior solicitor/director within the practice, providing full Legal Secretary support.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a busy legal environment.
  • Experience in litigation, case management systems.
  • Excellent IT skills with the use of Microsoft Word, Typing, Formatting and Editing documents.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills while working to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Audio typing.
  • Sending/receiving emails on behalf of Solicitor.
  • Filing, photocopying, keeping files up to date.
  • Assisting within the team as and when required.
  • Diary management.
  • Occasionally making and receiving phone calls and liaising with clients, other legal firms etc.
  • Opening, maintaining, and closing files in line with the firm's own processes.
