Maintenance Engineer working a 4 day week in Belfast

Our client are a leading FMCG brand with a rich heritage in Belfast. We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer who will carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance across plant equipment and facilities.

Within Monday to Friday you will work a 4 day week 6am - 4.30pm, rotating a day off each week. Fantastic salary on offer in the 40 - 45k range with a company who have a very low turnover of staff and a positive team environment.

The Role

  • Assist with machine set-ups, maintenance, and troubleshooting while ensuring health and safety compliance
  • Maintenance and repairs across site equipment and facilities
  • Supporting production equipment and machine operators
  • Conducting maintenance and safety inspections
  • Resolving issues through root cause analysis, minimising downtime
  • Keep maintenance records up to date

What we are looking for

  • Level 4 Engineering Qualification (HNC/HND)
  • Proven maintenance experience in a similar factory setting
  • Machine operating and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of automation, PLCs, pneumatics, and conveyors
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Additional skills such as welding, plumbing, or facilities is beneficial
