Maintenance Engineer working a 4 day week in Belfast
Our client are a leading FMCG brand with a rich heritage in Belfast. We are recruiting a Maintenance Engineer who will carry out preventative, planned and reactive maintenance across plant equipment and facilities.
Within Monday to Friday you will work a 4 day week 6am - 4.30pm, rotating a day off each week. Fantastic salary on offer in the 40 - 45k range with a company who have a very low turnover of staff and a positive team environment.
The Role
- Assist with machine set-ups, maintenance, and troubleshooting while ensuring health and safety compliance
- Maintenance and repairs across site equipment and facilities
- Supporting production equipment and machine operators
- Conducting maintenance and safety inspections
- Resolving issues through root cause analysis, minimising downtime
- Keep maintenance records up to date
What we are looking for
- Level 4 Engineering Qualification (HNC/HND)
- Proven maintenance experience in a similar factory setting
- Machine operating and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of automation, PLCs, pneumatics, and conveyors
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
- Additional skills such as welding, plumbing, or facilities is beneficial
