Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of our public sector client to re recruit a Maintenance Contracts Officer on a full time and permanent basis.
The candidate hired will be responsible to monitor and instruct the planned and reactive maintenance activities to be carried out by the maintenance contractors and to oversee the annual cycle of regular maintenance activities including co-ordination between contractors and the internal operations team.
You will be expected to engage with the Estates Services team and customers as required to enable access and co-ordinate the planning and operations associated with maintenance. To monitor the administration of operational instructions, service records, compliance and the process for addressing identified faults and repairs. Will also be responsible for monitoring and assisting in the process for agreeing required repairs, defining requirements, obtaining costs, approving, instructing and monitoring works.
Essential Criteria
- 100% must be educated to HNC/HND Level or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in a management/supervisory role relating to estates engineering services operating across a significant estate.
- Experience of coordinating external contractors
- Experience of coordinating external contractors.
- Relevant experience at management/supervisory level within a property/construction or estate management role.
- Experience of cost management of engineering plant operations, maintenance or development works.
- Experience of managing technical engineering/ building planned maintenance contracts.
- Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, property databases and project/facilities management packages and knowledge of CAD.
- Evidence of ability to lead and motivate contractors.
Salary will depend on experience - (32,314 - 38,019 per annum)
