Our client is looking for a Demand Planner to playa key role in the IBP process, as the forecast it delivers will enableoperationsto meet the production targetstimely,efficientlyandcost effectively.
About you:
This role would suit someone with demand planning experience in sectors such as but not limited to food, beverages, FMCG, Manufacturing.
Experience with forecasting and Sales & Operations Planning and/or IBP in the animal feed industry or any other industry such asFMCG.
Excellent knowledge andexpertisein ERP tools infunctionality and usage.Microsoft Office (in particular MS Excel) is a requirement and knowledge of Infor M3 and DMPisdesirable.
Duties & responsibilities
Forecasting
- Prepares as accurate as possible the demand forecast for all products.
- Maintain demand planning master data, systems and software, maintains relevant data and monitors / analyses trends to further enhance the forecast.
- Keeps up to date with the latest forecasting theory and concepts in order to become as effective as possible.
Data and information gathering
- Collects timely the right input / data and information from sales (and marketing)
- Works with sales to develop a robust prospect/new business process in order to capture information at the right time about new products and how to include these in the forecast.
- Identifies variances based upon historical production performance.
- Identifies relevant market-related data and competitive intelligence that is relevant for the demand forecasting process
- Identify sales opportunities and risks.
Collaborative planning
- Prepares relevant material to facilitate discussion and facilitates / manages the monthly demand meeting, in which the input from sales & marketing is discussed beforehand
- Achieves consensus for operational demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with key customers planning teams to tend to collaborative and integrated plan.
