Letting Agent
My client is a reputable property management agency, who are currently seeking an experienced Letting Agent, to join their team based in Belfast.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 5pm (40 hours per week).
With a salary of £26,000 per annum.
Additional Hours: One evening a month 5-7pm (for property viewings or admin) - paid at £18.75 per hour.
Job Role:
You will be responsible for supporting the lettings team, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative processes, and delivering excellent customer service to landlords, tenants, and prospective clients.
Essential Criteria:
- 1 year’s previous experience in a similar lettings role.
- Knowledge of lettings legislation and compliance requirements.
- IT proficient with the use of Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel and Outlook as well as property management software (e.g., Reapit, Jupix, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload while adhering to deadlines.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure professionalism at all times.
Desirable Criteria:
- ARLA qualification or willingness to work towards it.
- Experience working in a fast-paced lettings or property management environment.
- Familiarity with local property market trends and landlord-tenant dynamics.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare tenancy agreements, renewal contracts, and other relevant documentation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the property management database.
- Organize and manage tenancy applications, referencing checks, and guarantor agreements.
- Coordinate property inventories, check-ins, and check-outs with relevant property managers.
- Handle the administrative process for property requests.
- Act as the first point of contact for landlord and tenant inquiries, providing professional and friendly service.
- Liaise between landlords, tenants, and contractors to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist prospective tenants with inquiries, viewings scheduling, and application processes.
- Ensure all letting processes comply with current legislation and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, Right to Rent checks).
- Manage the secure handling of client data and tenancy documentation.
- Work closely with the lettings team to ensure targets and service standards are met.
- Provide support for marketing activities, including listing properties online and updating promotional materials.
