Compliance Oversight Officer

The Role
The Compliance Oversight Officer will play a crucial role in overseeing the onboarding and ongoing monitoring of Seopa Ltds Introducer Appointed Representatives (IARs) and other introducer partners. This will ensure that the introducer portfolio remains compliant with regulations and consistently delivers positive customer experiences and good customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the introducer due diligence process: Take responsibility for the entire due diligence process for introducers, from initial onboarding to ongoing monitoring.
Liaise with stakeholders: Directly communicate with relevant parties, both internal and external, to discuss and investigate any questions or issues arising from introducer due diligence.
Support IAR FCA notifications: Assist in the submission of routine and ad hoc FCA notifications required for Introducer Appointed Representatives.
Produce monthly oversight reports: Create monthly reports on introducer oversight and conduct, including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, conduct analysis, Consumer Duty and resource allocation, to ensure effective governance and oversight of the Seopa introducer portfolio.
Support internal governance relating to introducers: Assist the Legal & Compliance team with its governance of introducers, including support in the completion of internal records and annual self-assessments.
Liaise with regulators: Support the Legal & Compliance team in managing the relationship with the FCA in relation to introducer-related matters.
Manage regulatory updates: Stay informed of any changes in regulations that affect the management of introducers and report on the same to senior management.
Personal Specification
Academics:3 grade Bs or above at A-Level are desirable, although not essential.
Industry recognised compliance qualifications beneficial but not essential
Experience:
UK regulatory technical knowledge and experience of IARs and introducer regulation in the insurance sector
Knowledge of FCA requirements specifically relating to general insurance products within ICOBs & SUP 12 relating to Introducer Appointed Representatives
Previous experience in risk/compliance roles
