We are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead a team in a well-established restaurant in Belfast. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for the hospitality industry and a track record of managing a food service environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and profitability, and for managing a diverse range of functions and events.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Oversee all facets of the restaurant to maximise profitability and strive for continual improvement.
  • Implement systems and procedures to meet agreed targets for turnover, gross profit, and variable costs.
  • Manage variable costs effectively and ensure proper use of equipment.
  • Plan and prioritise tasks and events, working closely with the General Manager.
  • Promote the restaurant and actively seek additional revenue opportunities.
  • Manage menu and price changes in liaison with the Head Chef and General Manager.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service, with management presence during peak hours.
  • Encourage the team to upsell and handle customer needs individually.
  • Maintain strict control over stock and comply with Company procedures.
  • Manage staffing requirements within budget and control man-hour costs.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance assessments of staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience at a senior manager level within a busy food service environment.
  • IT proficiency and advanced knowledge of using websites and social media.
  • Experience with PR, Press, and Media.
  • Commercial and cost-aware approach to work.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including daytime, evening, and weekend work.
