ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR – Belfast

SALARY: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum

EMPLOYMENT: Permanent and full-time (open to reduced hours),

Reed Accountancy is partnered with a respected and established organisation in Belfast in the appointment of an Accounts Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will collaborate with their established finance and accountancy team. They will play a vital role in supporting the daily financial operations of the organisation and driving improvements in processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily banking, cash flow modelling, and treasury management for all group companies.
  • Lead and support the development and documentation of financial processes and procedures to ensure strong financial control.
  • Assist the payroll coordinator and manage all month-end reconciliations of payroll and pension control accounts.
  • Prepare UK and ROI VAT returns, ensuring all reconciliations are complete and compliant.
  • Enhance system functionality to improve efficiency and reporting.
  • Support the sales ledger function by posting sales invoices and credit notes, processing receipts, and generating statements.
  • Assist the purchase ledger function by processing invoices and credit notes, and reconciling payments.

 What you need to succeed:

  • Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English at grade C and above, or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a finance/administration role
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Working knowledge of integrated accounting system
