Senior PHP Software Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior PHP Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. 

Pinnacle, the Technology Solutions division of K3 Capital Group, builds and maintains bespoke web platforms used by FTSE 100 companies, public sector bodies and SME businesses.

In this client facing role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust, high-quality software solutions that align with customer requirements and business goals. Your expertise in coding, database management and system development will play a key role in driving innovation and delivering outstanding results. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers and fellow developers, to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems.

This role can be predominantly based from home with travel to the Belfast office for team / client meetings as needed or office based if preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy software solutions that align with project requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement efficient, secure, and scalable web applications.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
• Lead multiple projects, occasionally stepping into a technical lead role as needed.
• Manage project timelines, documentation, and technical specifications.
• Design and maintain robust database schemas, ensuring optimal performance.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
• Mentor other developers, sharing knowledge and best practices to support team growth.

About You

Requirements

• Extensive experience in PHP software development with Laravel and ideally, familiarity with Livewire.
• Demonstrated success in delivering software projects on time and according to specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proven capacity to work effectively within a team.
• Solid experience in API design and integration, including RESTful and GraphQL services.
• Background in leading projects, performing code reviews and contributing to agile workflows.
• Proficiency with CSS frameworks (e.g., Tailwind), JavaScript and responsive front-end development.
