Upholsterer / Upholstery Technician / Furniture Restorer

(This role will also require you to cover some parts of Southern Ireland on occasion, for which provisions will be made, such as accomodation and meals)

Commercial Upholstery & Domestic Upholstery Repairs

Earn on average between £34,000 to £50,000 + as either an employed Upholstery Technician or Self Employed Contractor - The option is yours!

We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading furniture repair specialists, currently experiencing and exciting period of growth. They require a skilled Furniture Technician, Upholsterer or Upholstery Technician with furniture repair and restoration experience to carry our professional furniture and upholstery repairs on old and new furniture items such as sofas, chairs recliners, cabinets and re-upholstery work.

Employed salaries begin at around £32,000 per annum with a fully services work vehicle, insurance and fueldcard + additional earnings and overtime which can earn technicians an average of £40,000 per annum (Employed) once incentives are taken in to account, or you can have the option to work as a Self Employed contractor where annual earnings of up to and in some cases above £60,000 + can be earned, however you must have your own commercial vehicle and tools in this case.

Other incentives can include a company vehicle, free fuel, pension scheme, life assurance and various other great company benefits as an employed Technician.

Full Time or Part Time and Employed or Self Employed options are available in this circumstance.

(Candidates must have a Full UK Drivers License)

Furniture Technician / Upholsterer Experience required:

  • A high level of experience as an upholsterer, upholstery technician, cabinet maker or furniture repair technician
  • UK Driving License
  • Comprehensive knolwedge of the industry, modern & traditional upholstery techniques, re-upholstery and furniture restoration techniques
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to evaluate action needed to satisfy customers requirements
  • Excellent personal presentation and customer service skills
  • A good standard of report writing and written English
  • Good IT skills
