Trailer Technician
 
Depot Location:  Newtownabbey, Belfast
 
Working Hours:  Monday to Thursday 16:30pm to 03:30am (10.5 hours paid)
 
Contract Type:  Full time / Permanent role
 
Financial Package:  £17.00ph Night rate + overtime paid at time and a half
 
My client, a well-established Truck & Trailer maintenance business is actively seeking to employ an Trailer Technician on a Night shift.
 
Working in an established team of Trailer Technician, you will be required to undertake the following;
 

Duties

  • Working in a General Haulage setting
  • Working on trailers
  • General warehouse duties
  • Burning and Welding
  • General Fabrication including grinding and abrasive wheels
  •  Hydraulics/Pneumatics
  •  Electrical (wiring and piping)
  •  Diagnostics
  • 42 Hour Working Week. Monday – Thursday. Start time 16.30 – End time 3.30  [10.5 Hour Day paid / half hour lunch not paid.]
  • PSV Trailer Fitter rate £17.00 per hour. (DOE) (This is the starting rate, once he would complete his stage 1 training with Mercedes this would increase another £1 an hour)
  • Overtime is paid at 1.5. As and when the company Require it.

 

The successful Trailer Technician will have the following attributes;
 
·hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
·Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
·A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential
