Description
* We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Engineer to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our two facilities. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our work environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity for all employees.
* This position requires strong leadership skills, a focus on sustainability, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules, overseeing repairs and improvements with a degree of hands-on work that will be required and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* The Facilities Engineer will collaborate with various departments to understand their needs and provide support, while leading a team of maintenance staff and vendors. Excellent communication and organizational skills are critical to successfully produce and manage budgets, vendor contracts, and project timelines.

Responsibilities
* Company compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facilities.
* Maintenance Services: Regular upkeep of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural maintenance
* Security Services: Implementation of security measures, including surveillance, access control, and on-site security personnel
* Energy Management: Optimizing energy use to reduce costs and environmental impact.
* Rail: Track infrastructure, track maintenance, Rail Fuelling & Controlled Emissions Toilet (CET) maintenance
* Planning: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal operation of building systems and in some instances have a hands-on approach in maintaining compliance monitor and control facility budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
* Management: Coordinate with vendors for outsourced services. Collaborate with other departments to assess and fulfil their facility requirements. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
Requirements
* Relevant qualification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities or a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and health & safety regulations.
* Proficient in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members and external vendors.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency in project management.
