iMultiply is supporting a growing management services business in their search for a high-performing graduate to join their finance team as a Graduate Accounts Assistant based in Bellshill on a permanent basis.

The Role

The Graduate Accounts Assistant will be part of a high-performing team providing support across all the group's business functions. This breadth of scope provides significant and ongoing opportunities to gain exposure to a wide variety of projects, business streams, and operational areas seldom available in a role at this level. You will have the opportunity to make a tangible and valuable contribution while developing a well-rounded skill set in a fast-paced environment.

As an Accounts Assistant you will be required, but not restricted, to the following tasks:

  • Processing and payment of purchase invoices
  • Maintenance of purchase ledger
  • Managing relationships with suppliers
  • Issuing invoices to customers
  • Maintenance of sales ledger
  • Credit control in relation to customer payments
  • Maintenance of cash books and loan schedules
  • Managing treasury deposit arrangements
  • Processing of interest and capital loan repayments and other non-supplier payments where applicable
  • Assisting in minute-taking at project board meetings
  • Processing of Companies House documents
  • Supporting the incorporation of financial data into ETBs
  • Uploading accounting data into the SUN accounting system
  • Assisting with accruals & prepayments and other journals
  • Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT and CIS returns
  • Liaising with auditors to provide supporting information for year-end financial statements
  • Ad hoc tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a highly ambitious and proactive graduate, with a 1st class Degree or Masters is Accounting and Finance, eager to complete their professional exams. You will have a strong academic background, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A natural problem-solver with excellent communication skills, you will be ready to take initiative and contribute to process improvements. You will ideally have up to two years Accounting experience, or if not, will have demonstrable soft skills developed in other jobs.
