Your new company

Based in Bellshill, our client is recruiting a Finance Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. The hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (and there can be some flexibility on the start and finish times). The organisation can be accessed by local public transport and there is also on-site parking.


Your new role

Reporting to the Manager and working as part of a team of 3, the Finance Administrator will undertake payroll responsibilities initially. Payroll experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided in areas in which you are less experienced. Your duties will include; processing payroll across multiple weekly payrolls of varying sizes, collating hours from timesheets, processing starters and leavers, handling payroll queries and processing SMP, SSP and sickness etc and general associated payroll administration. The role will then evolve to wider finance administration duties such as; posting payments, processing purchase & sales invoices, reconciliations, raising internal company invoices, matching and processing credit card transactions and general associated finance administration. The IT system used is Sage.


What you'll need to succeed

Full training will be provided on areas in which you are less experienced therefore a positive attitude to learning is essential. The organisation is seeking a hardworking and reliable Administrator to join their stable team.
You will have a team player attitude and will also be able to work well independently. You will have professional and personable communication skills as you will liaise with management, site staff and colleagues on a daily basis via telephone, email and face to face. Building relationships with your colleagues is key. Progression opportunities are available for candidates who wish to further develop. Sage experience would be an advantage.
