Description

This Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of resources to deliver works scheduled by the contracts team in a busy traffic management business operating a 24/7 service.

The Scheduler will optimise operational efficiency's by monitoring the system and allocating the correct resource to work-flows, staff and fleet; scheduling resources, and supervising operative activities accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for resource scheduling, engaging staff for an efficient operational delivery.
  • Act as point of contact for escalation and share responsibility on the standby rota when required.
  • Drive Productivity, allocating of resources efficiently and ensuring constant communication with workforce to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Ensure the workforce completes the allocated work-flow to a high standard.
  • Liaise with depot managers to ensure correct equipment for contracts are available.
  • Monitor and review workforce levels and liaise with the relevant department to ensure active recruitment as and when required.

Profile

This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, coupled with previous experience of scheduling work flow resource for non-site based operatives. You will have great interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem solve and react to change in a fast moving and constantly evolving environment.

Knowledge Requirements and Skills

  • An ability to work with autonomy and as part of a workforce scheduling team, in a high performing, fast moving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good communication skills and confident phone manner
  • Good organisational and time keeping skills.
