Key Responsibilities – Distribution Manager

  • Oversee daily transport and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Lead, train, and develop the transport team to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Manage fleet operations, including maintenance, scheduling, and route optimization for efficiency.
  • Optimize delivery routes and transportation systems to reduce costs and improve service quality.
  • Control transport department budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations for transportation operations.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to address delivery issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements – Distribution Manager

  • Experience in a distribution or logistics management role, overseeing transportation, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams of operational staff, drivers, and warehouse personnel, ensuring high performance and efficient operations.
  • Understanding of transport regulations, logistics systems, route optimization, and fleet management to ensure smooth and cost-effective distribution.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial reporting, and cost control to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgetary targets.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and industry regulations with the ability to enforce safety standards across all distribution activities to ensure a safe working environment.
