Location: Ambergate

Salary: £12 per hour

Hours: 44 hours per week, working hours are flexible, operating on a Monday - Friday basis.

Our client is partnering with a family-run business looking to strengthen their logistics team with additional HGV Drivers.

The group, with over 300 employees across 7 UK sites, has been operational for nearly 60 years and is a leader in UK haulage and storage, frozen food production, and co-packing solutions.

The Role

Due to expansion and winning some exciting contracts, they are currently seeking to recruit HGV Class 2 Rigid Drivers based at the Ambergate site.

This role is a multi-drop position and is strictly a day-only role with no overnight work. Previous HGV driving experience or experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. The ideal candidate must have strong geographical knowledge, be motivated, and be able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Haulage
• Pallet Network multi-drop deliveries/collections
• Use of the latest technology i.e. electronic POD devices, and electronic walk-around checks (full training will be provided).
• To maintain excellent levels of customer service, and to represent the company's values at all times.
• To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team
• To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner.

The salary is based on a minimum of 44 hours paid per week (when a full week is complete) plus a driver incentive bonus.

Skills and Qualifications

• Candidates will be fully qualified HGV Class 2 drivers with a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), a valid Digi card, and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• HGV Class 2 licence is essential.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach.
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills, and a professional attitude.
