Job Title: Van Driver / Stores Assistant
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with 1-hour paid break)
Location: Belvedere
Age Requirement: 25+ (for insurance purposes)
License Requirement: Clean driving license held for a minimum of 5 years
Experience: Delivering in London preferred
Job Overview:
This role involves a combination of driving and warehouse work, with 50% of your time spent driving a long-wheelbase transit van and 50% supporting warehouse and stores operations. You will be responsible for transporting doors, frames, and materials to various sites and assisting with warehouse duties such as picking, loading, and maintaining stock levels.
Core Responsibilities:
Driving and Deliveries:
Safely load and deliver doors, frames, and materials to installation sites around London, the South Coast, and the South of England.
Ensure accurate delivery according to dispatch lists, with proper documentation and receipt signatures.
Deliver to either construction sites or storage facilities, unloading and storing materials properly at the designated locations.
Heavy lifting is required, and occasional early starts may be needed to avoid traffic.
Warehouse and Stores:
Assist in preparing lock boxes containing all necessary materials (ironmongery, fixings, etc.) for door and frame installations.
Handle goods-in processes, including checking and receiving deliveries.
Work closely with the Production Admin team to monitor and maintain stock levels of consumables.
Support general warehouse duties, including picking items for dispatch and maintaining the stores area.
Additional Duties:
Assist in other factory operations when required, such as loading/unloading and preparation of materials.
Maintain safety standards during all warehouse and driving activities.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves heavy lifting and requires physical fitness.
Note: Flexibility for occasional early starts is required to meet delivery schedules.
