Graduate Controls and Automation Engineer

<£28k – 50k + bens + OT  (negotiable based on skill-set and experience)

Mainly office based - Southeast London, with some travel to sites across the SE

8.30-4.30 Monday – Friday with flexibility for weekend and evenings for OT

RARE opportunity for a graduate to join our market leading client who is an innovative power generation solutions provider!

If you are an Electrical Engineer looking to develop a career within the power generation sector then LOOK NO FURTHER!

This role offers a training period of 2 years to develop your skills within this niche sector – the sky is the limit in terms of progression!

Duties include:

  • Contribute to the design and development of control systems for power generation facilities.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers and Consultants to acquire hands-on experience and industry knowledge.
  • Assist in the implementation of automation solutions for industrial and commercial applications.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective engineering solutions.
  • Involve yourself in projects ranging from initial design studies to electrical DC and AC design, panel manufacturing, PLC programming, SCADA design, and software development.
  • Take part in the testing, commissioning, and maintenance processes of control systems.
  • Develop an understanding of industry standards and safety regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a proactive approach to meeting customer expectations

The successful candidate will be:

  • Educated to degree level in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, control systems engineering, industrial automation, automation and control
  • Motivated, disciplined and committed
  • Career minded
  • Able to travel as necessary for work (full driving licence ideally)
  • A good communicator
