About Us:
Swanstaff Ltd are working with a renowned manufacturer specialising in high-quality door systems, headquartered in Belvedere. We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our team and lead our production operations.
Role Overview:
As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of our door systems, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. You will lead a team of dedicated production staff, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the production floor.
- Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and implement production schedules, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand.
- Manage and motivate a team of production operatives, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, quality control, and logistics, to optimise production.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare regular reports for senior management.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to control costs.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager, preferably in the door systems or a related manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of production management principles, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyse production data and metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
