Are you an experienced Controls Engineer looking to make a move away from being on the tools?
Are you good with numbers?
We have a rare opportunity for someone with a good technical understanding of Control Systems to join our client on a full time, permanent basis as their Technical Estimator, preparing quotations for various sized jobs.
This role is ideal for an ex-Controls Engineer with experience with generator automation commissioning and good knowledge of deep-sea generator controls and SCADA systems, looking to come off the tools.
Duties include:
- Using technical expertise to generate accurate quotations
- Using Excel daily to generate pricing
- Working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and lead times
- Reviewing technical drawings
- Visiting customer sites to ensure full understanding of the site
- Document management
- Following up quotes and tenders
- Organising training
The successful candidate will have / be:
- Strong technical understanding of control systems and schematics
- Allen Bradley PLC and SCADA knowledge
- ComAp, deep-sea generator knowledge
- Electrical installation/automation controls
- A desire to work within Estimating
