We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our friendly team. This part-time maternity cover role offers flexible working hours between 25 to 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with actual start and finish times to be discussed at the interview.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Check invoices posted through our purchase invoice automated system.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and seek approval as necessary.
  • Post employee expenses and reconcile supplier statements.
  • Assist in chasing up supplier queries.
  • Support the Accounts Supervisor with preparing weekly GBP and foreign currency payment runs.
  • Assist the Management Accountant and Financial Controller with year-end audit file preparation.
  • Carry out other ad-hoc duties within the Accounts department as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an Accounts department in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Accounts packages.
  • Essential computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
  • Well-organised with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented, professional, and confident personality.
