As an Early Years Educator, you will:

  • Ensure the safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing of every child, making their safety your top priority.
  • Deliver the highest standard of care across all areas of childrens development: social, physical, intellectual, and emotional.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to create an enabling environment for children to play, learn, and develop.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with parents to ensure a holistic approach to care and education.

Key Areas of Focus for an Early Years Educator

  • Support and engage with children in their daily activities and routines.
  • Use the nurserys Famly software to record observations and assessments accurately.
  • Collaborate as part of a dynamic team to foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Adapt activities and learning experiences to meet the unique needs of every child.

Main Duties of an Early Years Educator

  • Follow and stay up to date with safeguarding procedures to ensure children are safe, healthy, and secure.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of childrens progress and share key milestones with parents.
  • Participate in training, staff meetings, and parent evenings to continually enhance your skills.
  • Organise and supervise lunch times, ensuring they are social and enjoyable experiences.
  • Promote high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
  • Work closely with Room Leaders, Nursery Managers, and other professionals to ensure every childs needs are met.
  • Support children with additional needs, adapting activities and environments to facilitate their development.
