We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated History Teacher with Religious Education (RE) to join our vibrant secondary school community in Benfleet. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students across both disciplines, fostering a deep appreciation for history and religious studies, while promoting critical thinking, empathy, and a global perspective.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History and RE lessons to Key Stages 3 and 4 (potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience).
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the curriculum to ensure students achieve their full potential.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and engage in continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching History and Religious Education.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for both History and RE.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
- A commitment to promoting the school's values and ethos.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to teaching.
