We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in S. Benfleet. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a nurturing environment that truly values inclusion and the development of every child.
About the Role:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for children with SEND, helping them access the curriculum effectively.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and the SENDCO to implement tailored learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting independence and confidence in the pupils you support.
- Assist with personal care or sensory needs as required.
- Monitor and document progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.
About You:
- Experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
- A solid understanding of a range of SEND, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs.
- Patient, compassionate, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to child welfare.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or similar) are desirable but not essential.
