About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing client located in Worcestershire. This client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing accurate project cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and ensuring smooth project execution from tender through to completion. This opportunity is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator with strong experience in the construction or house-building sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates for scaffolding projects, covering labour, materials, equipment, and project timelines using Strikesoft software (training provided if needed).
  • Feasibility Assessment: Analyse project requirements and conduct feasibility studies to ensure resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project budgets to maintain alignment with estimated costs, making adjustments as needed.
  • Design Interpretation: Review design plans and blueprints to accurately assess project scope and produce precise estimates.
Candidate Requirements
  • Educational Background: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Industry Experience: Proven track record as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction or house-building sectors, preferably with experience in scaffolding.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Software Knowledge: Familiarity with cost estimation software is a plus; experience with Strikesoft is advantageous (training will be provided if required).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating with internal teams and external clients.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of construction processes, design blueprints, and cost management principles.
