NLB Solutions are working with a business in Berkhamsted that are looking for Management Accountant to join and cover a maternity cover for 12 months. The role is to work in a team of 3 and need someone that is able to take full control of 2 businesses and the complete accounts for them. The team have expanded over a number of years and so have retained a lot of knowledge over that period. With hybrid working patterns, this business offers a professional and fun place to work.

The business need an experienced management accountant with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stake holders whilst managing the work load across the months. There is a chance to take on more over a period of time and would suit a studier or someone that is a QBE.

Duties:

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Working on projects to develop the accounts function to ensure that we meet the organisational requirements
  • Production and verification of gross margin reports
  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of accruals and prepayments
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Preparation of commission reports
  • Preparation of VAT and other statutory reports
  • Bank and IDF reconciliations
  • Assist with any audits - Statutory, Bank and ISO
  • Reviewing and updating internal procedures to maximise output
  • Provide monthly financial reports to leadership team and business units
  • To establish, foster and maintain close working relationships with all finance teams and other support functions
  • Dealing with any ad-hoc queries on a timely basis

Person Spec:

  • Experience of producing full sets of accounts
  • Good experience in using Excel
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
