Our client, a leading Civil & Structural consultancy, is seeking a motivated, Associate Structural Engineer to join their Berkhamsted team on a hybrid basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including, Industrial, Highways, Refurbishment and Data Centres.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering designs in line with client requirements
- Review and approve designs produced by more junior staff
- Taking a lead role in relation to the technical delivery of projects, and technical supervision and guidance to less experienced staff
- Recognised point of contact for clients on projects
- Along with the Director contribute to the day-to-day management and control of projects including financial management, compliance checks, environmental and health and safety procedures
- Conduct client meetings.
Key Requirements:
- Degree Qualified in civil or structural engineering
- Chartered or progressing towards MIStructE/MICE
- Proven experience in technical competence, conducting meetings as well as proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proven experience working in consultancy environment
- Knowledge of Industrial, Commercial or Retail projects
- Good communication and people skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Proven experience of leading projects
- Experience of working closely with developers/contractors
