Our client, a leading Civil & Structural consultancy, is seeking a motivated, Associate Structural Engineer to join their Berkhamsted team on a hybrid basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including, Industrial, Highways, Refurbishment and Data Centres.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage engineering designs in line with client requirements
  • Review and approve designs produced by more junior staff
  • Taking a lead role in relation to the technical delivery of projects, and technical supervision and guidance to less experienced staff
  • Recognised point of contact for clients on projects
  • Along with the Director contribute to the day-to-day management and control of projects including financial management, compliance checks, environmental and health and safety procedures
  • Conduct client meetings.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree Qualified in civil or structural engineering
  • Chartered or progressing towards MIStructE/MICE
  • Proven experience in technical competence, conducting meetings as well as proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proven experience working in consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of Industrial, Commercial or Retail projects
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Proven experience of leading projects
  • Experience of working closely with developers/contractors
