Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 5 Class Teacher to join our dedicated team in Berkhamsted from September. This role comes with additional leadership responsibilities, offering the opportunity to lead and inspire both students and staff in an innovative and collaborative environment.
As the Year 5 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for the delivery of engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all learners. Alongside teaching, you will take on leadership responsibilities that contribute to the development of the school and enhance the learning experience for both students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a Year 5 class, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
Develop and implement creative and challenging learning opportunities for students.
Differentiate teaching to meet the individual needs of students.
Provide pastoral care and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Take on leadership responsibilities (details to be discussed at interview), including mentoring staff, coordinating key areas of the curriculum, and leading school initiatives.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to parents and colleagues.
Contribute to the development of school policies and initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in teaching Year 5 or similar year groups.
Strong leadership skills and a passion for improving educational outcomes for all students.
A proven track record of delivering outstanding lessons and driving student progress.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
