This firm is known for its commitment to client service and team support, offering an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting a busy legal team.Key Responsibilities:As the Private Client Legal Secretary, you will support the firm’s fee earners by:
  • Document Preparation: Producing correspondence and documents, including probate applications, wills, and LPAs, through audio/copy typing.
  • Billing Support: Drafting and preparing monthly bills, ensuring all disbursements are accurately claimed.
  • Client Contact: Engaging with clients both in person and by phone, handling initial inquiries professionally.
  • Diary and Meeting Management: Scheduling appointments, arranging meetings, and preparing facilities as needed.
  • File and Record Management: Setting up new files, maintaining client records on ALB, and ensuring Lexcel compliance.
  • Administrative Support: Supporting the Private Client department with GDPR compliance, file management, and participating in departmental marketing initiatives as needed.
Ideal Candidate Qualities:The firm is looking for a skilled Legal Secretary with:
  • Experience in a legal secretarial role, ideally within Private Client work (at least 2 years experience)
  • Strong audio typing skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, client-centered approach
  • Ability to manage a varied workload efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Proven IT proficiency including case management systems, MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • A positive, flexible approach, working both independently and as part of a team.
