The ideal candidate:
- Teacher qualifications or equivalent.
- Experience teaching in Year 6 or upper primary.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
- A passion for education and a dedication to student success.
The role:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in school-wide events, meetings, and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
- Foster a love of learning and encourage independent thinking in students.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Contribute to the overall school community and ethos.
