Commitment:

We are are seeking an exceptional individual to join our day team as a Servery Assistant in Betchworth. Our responsibility is to ensure that our residents are safe and happy in all that we do, and we deliver to the highest of standards to provide a community of warmth and comfort.

Job Summary:

To carry out general kitchen and dining room duties, such as setting tables, washing up and serving meals to residents, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

Participate in Staff and Client meetings as required.

Assist in the serving of meals.

Ensure statutory Health and Safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas.

Promote safe working practice in the Care Centre.

Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Care Centre.

Ensure the security of the Care Centre is always maintained

Specific Duties

Assist in the serving of meals.

.Assist in taking meals to Residents rooms and tidying away once finished.

Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence.

Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required.

Wash up after meals. Ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately, and that the overall cleaning of the kitchen area (and, where appropriate, the dining areas) is carried out effectively.

Report immediately to the Home Manager, or Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a client, colleague, self, or another.

Understand, and ensure the implementation of, the Care Centres Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.

Report to the Home Manager, or the Handyperson, any faulty appliances, damaged furniture, equipment, or any potential hazard.

Ensure that all information of confidential nature gained in the course of duty is not divulged to third parties.

Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales.

Ensure all equipment is clean and well maintained.

Carry out any other tasks that may be reasonably assigned to you.
