Job OverviewOur client is seeking a motivated and skilled Technical Pump Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to their clients while driving sales initiatives. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions that leverage company products and services. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of IT concepts, and the ability to manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to identify their technical requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver quotations and technical data that demonstrate product capabilities and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for increasing market share.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Utilise Excel for data analysis, reporting, and tracking sales performance metrics.
  • Organise and manage customer accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and accessible.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials that highlight product features and advantages.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential for data management tasks.
  • Ability to adopt and pick up policies and processes using "SimPro" software
  • Possess a strong technical knowledge and analytical capabilities, able to demonstrate a professional approach.
  • Knowledge of selecting pumps on Grundfos & Xylem software as a minimum.
  • Knowledge of replacing old, obsolete pumps and associated equipment with new replacements available on the market considering their specific applications.
  • Strong IT knowledge with an understanding of cloud services is highly desirable.
  • You will have knowledge of managing small to large projects liaising with the full supply chain.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building rapport with clients.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Effective time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to Consistently follow up, track and convert enquiries to orders whilst maintaining and exceeding the Companies expectations on profitability.
  • Experience in presenting technical information in an engaging manner is preferred.
