A renowned college is seeking a Student Support Manager to join their team. The college is committed to providing high-quality education and fostering success for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Pastoral Support - Offer guidance and wellbeing support to students, addressing personal, academic, and social challenges to ensure a positive learning experience.

  • Manage Student Services - Oversee student welfare services, including mental health support, safeguarding, and financial aid assistance.

  • Lead and Supervise Staff - Manage a team of pastoral staff, student mentors, and support officers, ensuring effective service delivery.

  • Develop and Implement Support Strategies - Create policies to enhance student engagement, attendance, and retention, working closely with academic and administrative teams.

  • Handle Student Concerns and Incidents - Act as a key contact for resolving student issues, liaising with external agencies and internal departments to ensure student wellbeing and success.

Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

  • Experience managing a pastoral care team

  • Background in learner services within a college setting

  • Safeguarding qualifications
