- Perform reconciliations for assigned control accounts and balance sheet items to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and the board reporting pack, ensuring accurate data is available for decision-making.
- Regularly analyse aged debtor reports and highlight overdue amounts for escalation to the Finance Manager for necessary actions.
- Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements, investigating and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Accurately allocate incoming receipts and payments to respective accounts, ensuring timely completion of bank reconciliations.
- A professional accounting qualification or part-qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but not essential.
- Exceptional focus on accuracy and detail in all aspects of financial work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify business challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines without close supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with large ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, is desirable but not essential.
