Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Manager to oversee the refurbishment of an office block in Pocklington.. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing construction sites, particularly with office fit-outs or refurbishment projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Site Supervision: Oversee daily site activities to ensure the smooth progress of the office block refurbishment.
- Project Management: Ensure project milestones are met according to the schedule.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with H&S regulations, including conducting risk assessments and site inspections.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality of workmanship meets the specified requirements and industry standards.
- Coordination: Manage subcontractors and direct labour on-site, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Problem Solving: Address any on-site challenges, liaising with project stakeholders to find solutions.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring the project remains within budget.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Proven experience as aSite Manager on office refurbishment projects or similar construction works.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and health & safety standards.
- Valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certificate.
- Office refurbishment experience
- Externals experience- cladding or steel fixing
- CSCS card (Site Manager level).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Experience in managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- IT proficiency, including experience with project management software (e.g Asta Powerproject).
