About the Role:Our client, a leading EPC company, is seeking a dedicated Contracts Manager to oversee all contractual and commercial matters for a range of onshore engineering projects relating to petrochemicals and refineries. This role is critical in ensuring consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead pre-tender contractual negotiations, monitor commercial performance baselines, and ensure that all relevant controls are effectively implemented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead negotiations on terms and conditions for tendering opportunities, aligning with company goals and managing risks
  • Develop commercial and contractual qualifications in line with standard contracting principles (SCPs).
  • Collaborate with project managers, legal, and procurement teams to create and review pre-tender documentation.
  • Draught and negotiate key framework agreements with vendors across various supply chain categories, fostering sustainable relationships.
  • Manage and resolve legal claims or contractual issues, working closely with legal and project teams for favourable outcomes.
  • Oversee adherence to standard contracting principles, ensuring consistency and best practises.
  • Ensure compliance with key governance frameworks, advise on legislative changes and industry regulations to maintain compliance and best practises.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on legislative requirements impacting contracts.
  • Identify and assess contractual risks associated with project contracts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement risk mitigation strategies.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in business management, law, or a related field and be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of industry legislative requirements. It is highly advantageous if you have a proven track record achieving deliverables, relating to petrochemical and refineries.
