Head of Power Platform | North Yorkshire | Permanent | £100,000-£110,000 per annum

One of our clients in the insurance space is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Power Platform to lead a multi-disciplinary team and drive their technology transformation agenda. This is a permanent role based in York with a hybrid working model (2 days per week onsite). The role offers a unique opportunity to influence key technology platforms, implement innovative solutions, and contribute to a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple Value Streams and critical technology initiatives.
  • Coordinate with third-party software suppliers to manage relationships, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, quality, and deadlines.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategically plan and manage the delivery of software solutions across teams and projects to align with broader business goals.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and team ownership while fostering psychological safety.
  • Assess and optimise team performance, identifying areas for improvement while maintaining compliance with architectural guidelines.
  • Play a pivotal role in advancing the company's technology transformation, including the adoption of Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Over 5 years of experience in senior technology leadership, ideally within regulated sectors like insurance or financial services.
  • Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams.
  • Expertise in managing vendors, including contract negotiation and oversight.
  • Strong background in delivering software solutions in regulated environments.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical communication effectively.
  • Proficient in both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong commercial insight, including experience managing budgets for change initiatives and operational services in multi-vendor settings.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to deliver impactful, long-term solutions.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and low-code/no-code platforms like Power Platform.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven technologies and cloud-based solutions.
  • Proven ability to drive cultural and organisational change in a delivery-focused environment.
