Business Development Manager - Solar PV (Agriculture and Commercial Sectors)

Prosper Recruitment are collaborating with a renewables company who are dedicated to creating sustainable energy solutions for a better future. With a strong focus on solar energy, they deliver design, installation and maintenance projects for commercial solar PV systems for various sectors, including agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and more.

Due to growth the Managing Director is seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales and business development within the agriculture and commercial sectors for their solar PV solutions. Based in East Yorkshire UK. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and achieving sales targets within these targeted sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive business growth within the agriculture and commercial sectors for solar PV solutions.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities by proactively reaching out to potential clients and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with the technical and project management teams to ensure seamless delivery of solar PV projects to clients.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors within the agriculture and commercial sectors.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth objectives of the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven track record in sales and business development within the solar PV industry, with a focus on the agriculture and/or commercial sectors - Essential
  • Strong understanding of solar PV technologies, market trends, and competitive landscape within the target sectors.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel within the North of England when required to meet with clients and attend industry events as needed.

Salary:

Basic 40k - 50k pa + company car + Commission (uncapped) OTE 90k +
