We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Town Planner to join a well-established and highly respected planning consultancy based in York. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a variety of planning projects, providing strategic advice and solutions to clients.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and assessments, ensuring all work meets the highest standards and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on planning policies and regulations to both clients and colleagues.
  • Mentor and support junior planners, helping to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure that all projects are compliant with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • RTPI accredited Town Planner with at least 5 years of professional experience.
  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation and policies, especially within the UK planning system.
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering planning projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with a strong problem-solving ability.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing junior team members is desirable.
