You’ll lead the team, manage audits, address customer complaints, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, and maintain high standards.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure quality systems meet customer, legislative, and industry standards.Manage customer complaints, defect reports, and non-conformances.Lead and motivate the Quality team, ensuring KPI targets are met.Maintain and implement food safety, hygiene standards, and quality culture.Oversee audits, including customer visits and third-party reviews.Drive cost reduction for chemicals, equipment, and laboratory testing.Support continuous improvement projects and operational efficiency.Work closely with senior management to ensure compliance and innovation.Essential RequirementsTechnical expertise in food manufacturing operations.Strong experience in Quality or Technical Management roles.Familiarity with UK retailer codes of practice and audit protocols.Level 3-4 HACCP and TACCP/VACCP qualifications.Desirable QualificationsDegree in Food Technology or Science.Level 4 Food Hygiene, NEBOSH/IOSH, or Lead Auditor certification.BRC Version 9 experience.What’s on OfferCompetitive salary (discussed upon application).28 days of holiday, including bank holidays (to be taken in lieu).Opportunities for professional development and growth.Work Schedule5/7 days, with flexibility required during peak periods.Weekend and overtime work during site setup or high-demand times.About the BusinessOur client operates a state-of-the-art mushroom-growing and packing facility with a focus on innovation and value-added products.
