Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Beverley
Pay Rate: £93 to £115 (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time
GSL Education are in search of a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor for an astounding secondary school located in Beverley. This position is critical for delivering studentspersonalised assistance so they can thrive both academically and socially. The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students remain on task with their learning and behaviour. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and have the skills to maintain a productive and positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise and manage a classroom of students, ensuring they remain focused on their work and adhere to the school’s behaviour policies.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources left by the absent teacher.
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment.
- Supporting students in their educational development.
- Assisting with administrative tasks and other duties as required.
Cover Supervisor Job Requirements:
- Prior experience working in an educational setting, ideally in a supervisory or classroom setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively.
- Patience, resilience and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
