Your new companyHays Senior Finance are currently supporting a manufacturing business in Kidderminster with the recruitment of a Project Accountant on a permanent basis. My client has experienced strong levels of growth in recent years and with this due to continue moving forward, they are seeking a progressive individual to join their team.

Your new roleReporting into the Finance Director, you will support the projects team with their day-to-day activities and ensure the integrity of financial data.

Key duties:

  • Preparation of weekly sales forecast data
  • Project cashflow forecasting
  • Variance analysis to budget
  • Hedging of foreign payments
  • Support in the preparation of quarterly estimate at completions in line with IFRS15/FRS102
  • Tracking of VoP indices and annual invoicing
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and 5-year plans
  • Liaise with internal/external auditors on queries
  • Involvement in bids and other ad hoc work

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with a willingness to continue studying if part-qualified
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
  • Confident business partner and comfortable challenging/influencing non-finance staff
  • Possess a proactive approach to work with a focus on business performance and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills - meticulous with spreadsheets and analysing data
