This Academy Group is a pioneering educational and care services for individuals with special educational needs and disabilities. We are thrilled to announce the opening of their new ASC/SEMH school in Kidderminster, catering to students aged 5-19.

As they expand, they are on the lookout for passionate Teaching Assistants to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

Join them as a Teaching Assistant and play a crucial role in supporting their students' learning and overall wellbeing. Your mission will be to create a nurturing and secure environment that helps each child achieve their fullest potential. This role may involve occasional care needs and positive behaviour management, tailored to each student's unique requirements.

You'll foster warm, supportive relationships with pupils, promoting safety, enjoyment, and independence. Working closely with the class teacher, you'll help deliver engaging and differentiated educational experiences, supporting a curriculum designed for comprehensive student development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning journey and personal development.
  • Assist with care needs and manage behaviour positively.
  • Build supportive relationships to ensure students feel safe and motivated.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.

What They're Looking For:

  • Working towards a Level 2 award in Support Work in Schools or equivalent (desirable).
  • GCSE Maths and English Level 2/C or above (essential).
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience or knowledge of SEN or SEMH/ASD, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Commitment to prioritising each child's needs and fostering independence.
  • Positive, creative approach to meeting students' needs.
