About the Role:

As a Fire Alarm Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating bespoke fire alarm systems, ensuring they meet rigorous safety standards and project specifications. Working closely with project teams, you'll translate requirements into detailed, compliant designs that set the standard for fire safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design fire alarm systems layouts, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure design specifications align with project goals.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant fire safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest fire safety codes and technologies, applying best practices to every project.
  • Provide technical support and guidance during project implementation phases.

What We're Looking For:

  • You will ideally be a Level 3 qualified designer and accomplished estimator within the fire industry with at least 3 years' experience of designing and estimating fire alarm systems.
  • The role may also suit an experienced engineer looking to develop their career (minimum of 5 years' experience as an engineer).
  • You will have an excellent working knowledge of BS5839 parts 1 & 6, Requirements of the RRFSO, BS7273-4, BS9999, BS9991, Approved Document B, etc.
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft software.
  • A keen interest in technology and providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
