GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a highly successful manufacturing organisation, who specialise in bespoke, metalwork products, located in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their ever-growing team.

This is a full time, permanent, on-site position offering a salary range of 拢35-47K which is pending relevant experience.

To be considered, you MUST have strong experience in ISO 14001, 27001 and 45001 and high risk chemicals and materials.

We will consider candidates with varied levels of experience, even candidates with only a few years in the industry but with IOSH and NEBOSH.

The Health and Safety Advisor (H&S Advisor) will be the main contact for all health, safety, environmental and quality elements within our 4 sites across Kidderminster. You will support and advise all levels of staff and assist the Operations Manager in conforming to the highest quality standards, whilst ensuring the welfare and working conditions for employees are kept to the highest standard of safety.

To be considered we are looking for an individual with a full understanding of Company and Health & Safety policies, a working knowledge of UK Health and Safety Law current and future changes and strong knowledge of ISO, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

H&S Advisor main duties:

路 Review, update and embed the Company Health and Safety Policy, along with subsidiary

路 Documentation

路 Ensure the Company continues to meet its legislative and regulatory obligations by implementing and updating any requirements necessary.

路 Ensure the organisation complies with all relevant regulations and legislation relating to the environment, and understands and proactively addresses the potential or actual associated environmental impacts of any operations undertaken by the different business units, individuals, or head office

路 Ensure that the Company's sites and departments are systematically inspected and audited.

路 Work towards annual company objectives and targets to maintain ISO accreditations.

路 Compile and develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

路 Lead H&S Forums and Internal Reviews and implement recommendations where appropriate

路 Undertake office fire and general Risk Assessments

路 Undertake audits of returned and completed paperwork, to ensure compliance with statutory body requirements

路 Ensure that third party accreditations and audits are achieved and retained.

路 Ensure all new starters are inducted correctly and are aware of their own SHEQ responsibility.

H&S Advisor required skills and experience:

路 NEBOSH or IOSH qualification

路 Full understanding of Company and Health & Safety policies.

路 Experience in a Manufacturing, Safety, Facilities or Operations environment.

路 A working knowledge of UK Health and Safety Law current and future changes

路 A working knowledge of ISO, Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

路 Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

路 A high standard of data presentation, coaching and teaching colleagues.

路 Logical approach to problem solving.

路 Proven record of maintaining confidentiality, whilst dealing with information of a sensitive nature.

路 Good Microsoft skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

路 Outstanding attention to detail and organisation skills

路 The ability to work as part of a team to achieve the aims of the Company.
