Your new companyAn established, successful and growing construction business in Kidderminster has an exciting opportunity for a permanent Project Assistant to join their small and friendly team. This is a business that champions delivering a high-quality service to a variety of customers and maintaining excellent standards across delivery, health and safety and procedures.

Your new roleYou will be providing support to management and directors in the successful delivery of projects from start to finish, as well as wider business administrative support. This is a varied position that involves working full-time in the office, Monday to Friday. Key duties include:

  • Completing administrative tasks to ensure each phase of the project is delivered on time.
  • Recording details of jobs on multiple electronic and manual systems.
  • To collate & supply job reports upon the customer's request.
  • Schedule subcontractor works and log onto the system.
  • To ensure all relevant H&S paperwork is issued.
  • Support management in delivering projects on time to agreed delivery dates, within budget and to specification.
  • Manage and communicate customer expectations with the team and subcontractors.
  • Arranging site visits with customers alongside liaising with clients and answering their queries
  • Maintaining the calendar & ensuring reminders are set for client meetings / site visits.
  • Completion of checks on stock deliveries.
  • Ensure all quote requests are flagged to relevant persons and deadlines are met.
  • Keep enquiry register & project tracker up to date at all times.
  • To ensure project communication is carried out and monitor customer satisfaction.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will need to have strong administration experience.
  • Construction/building industry experience is ideal.
  • Excel and IT proficiency are essential, including emails and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strength in working to tight deadlines.
  • Confidence in working both reactively and proactively.
  • Excellent telephone manor and being comfortable using the phone.
  • Strong inter-personable skills.
