Skilled Workshop Engineer
Are you a Skilled Workshop Engineer looking for a new challenge? Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Skilled Workshop Engineer to join our client's team in Kidderminster. As a Skilled Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for repairing specialist bodywork equipment and refuse collection vehicles to a high standard. This role may also involve attending to equipment repairs at customer sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassembling and assembling body-mounted equipment.
- Diagnosing faults on chassis-mounted equipment.
- Carrying out body refurbishment repairs on NTM Refuse Collection vehicles.
- Performing MIG welding repairs.
- Ensuring jobs are completed to company standards.
- Working at both customer and company premises.
- Completing all relevant paperwork and documentation.
Requirements:
- Mechanical experience, ideally from commercial vehicles or plant hire sectors.
- Relevant experience in mechanical fitting and welding repairs.
- Understanding of basic vehicle/plant electrics and hydraulics (desirable).
- HGV license and/or HGV experience in welding (desirable).
- Full UK driving license (essential).
- Willingness to learn and ability to work to time constraints and customer specifications.

- Basic hours: 42 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7:45am - 5:00pm, Friday 7:45am - 3:15pm).
