Citrus Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Project & Technical Engineer to join a leading business in their field, who design, manufacture, and install process plant equipment for businesses across multiple sectors. You will be joining at an exciting time, as the business has a strategy grow. The company is looking to appoint a professional and proven Project Engineer to assist the Operations department in ensuring the companies compliance with all relevant legislation.With customer satisfaction the number one goal, your role is to ensure projects both in-house and on-site are managed and organised in a cost effective and safe manner. With plenty of opportunity within this role to make it your own and work closely with all stakeholders. Responsibilities & day to day duties As a Project & Technical Engineer you will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing orders from customers, ranging from supply-only to turnkey contracts, which involve design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensuring efficient and controlled management of project work areas on-site.
  • Acting on instructions from the Operations department regarding order processing, labour allocation, rework load, and future orders.
  • Completing design engineering tasks from sales inputs or site measurements to prepare details for manufacturing and installation, meeting customer expectations.
  • Conducting site visits to gather information, specifications, and measurements for projects. Producing Method Statements and risk assessments for repair/installation activities.
  • Using CAD software to carry out design activities and produce manufacturing information.
  • Implementing policies and procedures for effective contract management.
  • Collaborating with the sales department to ensure estimates of works are realized cost-effectively without compromising quality or safety.
  • Adherence and implementation of all Quality procedures.
  • Assisting the sales team in preparing estimates, project specifications, and requirements.
 Skills & experience required.As a Project & Technical Engineer we are looking for the following experience
  • Proven track record in project and technical management.
  • Experienced in monitoring and controlling costs throughout contracts in real-time.
  • Mechanical understanding and solid manufacturing industry knowledge.
